Teaching Philosophy

In my courses, my goals for students are twofold: 1) to learn about the ideas and arguments of the figures and texts we study and 2) to acquire the habits of philosophy, including the habit of being able to articulate and communicate philosophical claims in a clear and convincing manner and the habit of being able to engage with someone in mutually beneficial discussion in a common pursuit of truth.
